Great Disparity of Power & Position (Part 2)

Thank You for reading Part 1…and what-4-words or what-3-words or
what-2-words

Almighty God to dust…a great disparity of power and position, huh?!
What words: 2, 3, 4 or more, would You choose to describe Yourself??…would You choose to emphasize Your power?? or Your position?? or something else?? (perhaps? You would use words that express what You truly value about Yourself… or perhaps? You would avoid certain words that would give a false impression…Perhaps? Your specific word(s) choice would help explain who or what You “truly” are at heart… the authentic “real” You!)

Don’t most of us… want to be understood or appreciated…(whether we have power, position or not)?!

On one occasion, God revealed himself to Moses by declaring His own name and qualities. The first ones that he listed were mercy and compassion. (Exodus 24:5-7) Verse 6 “Jehovah was passing before him and declaring: “Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and abundant in loyal love and truth, “

Jehovah could have stressed his power or his wisdom. Yet, to Moses, who was seeking reassurance of God’s backing, Jehovah emphasized instead qualities that underscore his willingness to help his servants. (Ex. 33:13) Do you not find it heartwarming that God mentioned these endearing traits ahead of any others? [excerpted: w 2017 Imitate Jehovah’s Compassion]

Great Disparity of Power & Position (Part 1)

Think of (a) quick example(s) disparity of power & position…

e.g.,

parent to baby?

human to an ant?

billionaire man to welfare woman?

king to servant?

queen to maid?

chainsaw to tree?

lawn mower to blade of grass?

mansion dweller to homeless?

apex predator to bunny?

potter to clay?

artist to painting?

teacher to student?

man to woman?

adult to child?

lion to kitten?

healthy to unhealthy

etc., etc., etc.,

BIG and POWER FULL to small and scrawny

(i’m sure you can come up with better/more poignant examples of seeming

disparity of power and/or position.)

So-called elite and educated to the illiterate, uneducated, unlettered…

boss to employee…

rich to poor…

sovereign to subject…

(continued in part 2)
