Greetings-beautiful-breathing-fragile-life:) How’s the air where You breathe? Unbelievable (or is it unbreathable)?…Our global brothers & sisters who breathe in Bejing…are on RED alert because of air pollution; (last time I checked current news). According to an NPR article, I read “pollutants reached levels about 20 times higher than what the World Health Organization deems safe.”
Hopefully, breathers will heed the RED ALERT warning! That would make them smart breathing heeders, huh!..sadly, some won’t…take heed.
Am I humbly inclined to take heed?? “Hey, You, You with the glasses…You’re name is S., right?…Come over HERE!!”…authoritatively motioning with my left hand out my car window..to this punky-squirrelly-like-cute kid who just ran/darted impulsively out into the street like a suicide squirrel–paying no heed whatsoever to any traffic. So he could meet up with his friends walking to school on the other side of this two-lane bustling street. This kid gave me a heart-attack. Good thing: i was driving the slow school speed limit, but still…it seemed like he had a death wish or a love wish; not sure IF there was someone in particular he only had eyes for across the street…(thereby paying no mind to traffic.)
As i was driving by initially after this incident…i rolled down the window on my son’s side of the car…and yelled out to the kid..about being careful to NOT get KILLED!…which he ignored me or was totally unaware cause he’s talking with his friends; he was so eager to meet.
(Meanwhile, my middle-school child in the back seat informs me this kid is named S. and he’s a risk taker; she’s seen him doing dangerous stuff before.) Taking the next available side street that wraps around closer to the drop off for my daughter to continue her journey to school via walking and safely crossing to main building of her school (with Police crossing guard). Parked…i now notice this kid getting closer to cross right in front of me with his gang of friends. Of course, i yell out to him to come over…and he obeys!..Then i proceed to give him a brief, compassionate, caring-kind lecture about how he wants to lead a happy-long-life and taking unnecessary risks will cut his life short. Basically, i tell him: he looks old enough to know how to safely cross a street without endangering himself or drivers on the road…yada, yada, yada…he STARES QUIETLY AT ME the whole time–saying nothing! His big-brown-saucer-puppy-dog eyes say it all, eh?! i send him on his way…peacefully…and wishing Him a safe day/life!:) i betta (better) not see this kid darting out in traffic again tomorrow en route to school. (Cause i will unhesitantly-boldly say something again to him!) (Hoping, he heeds the warning/admonition…and heeds the safety message.) God, i am such a mother…you know the kind that instinctively watches out/cannot help caring about your own kids and other people’s kids…(though, i usually mind my own business). Every morning school commute: i contend with squirrels darting speedily in the road, which makes me on high-vigilant-alert anyway, at any given moment in time…now this kid today.
When i became a parent 16 years ago (and subsequently as a new parent), naturally, you start viewing people as…somebody’s precious child. A precious child making their way in the world and needing help, kindness and compassion, education…to be treated the way you would like your own kid to be treated on this planet. Young/Old: we are all somebody’s kid. (Approx. 99.9% of us…got here…got to be breathing-living-fragile-life inhabiting Earth..because of love….because of a love-making session of our parents.) In my living view, this planet and all creation inhabiting Earth is a reflection of love..(God’s). The reason for life…boils down to 1 word: LOVE.
Here’s a red alert warning…red as in read and motivated by my (AGAPE) LOVE of HUMANITY:) aka “excerpts” of current readings:
ON December 26, 2004, a 9.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Simeulue, an island off the northwest coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. All eyes on the shore looked out to sea. The tide was receding beyond normal. Instantly, everyone started running for the hills, shouting, “Smong! Smong!” the local word for tsunami. Within 30 minutes, powerful waves came crashing onto the coast, destroying most of the homes and villages.
Simeulue Island was the first location to be hit by that devastating tsunami. Yet, of the 78,000 residents, only 7 died. Why comparatively so few? A saying among the islanders is: ‘If a strong tremor occurs and the sea withdraws, run to the hills, for the sea will soon rush ashore.’ From past experience, the people of Simeulue had learned to recognize an approaching tsunami by the change in the sea. Heeding the advance warning saved their lives.
The Bible speaks of an approaching disaster, a “great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again.” (Matthew 24:21) But this is not the end of planet Earth by irresponsible human activities or some catastrophic natural event
—for it is God’s purpose that the earth remain forever. (Ecclesiastes 1:4) Rather, the coming tribulation is an act of God to “bring to ruin those ruining the earth.” It will be the end of all wickedness and suffering. (Revelation 11:18; Proverbs 2:22) What a blessing that will be!
Furthermore, unlike tsunamis, earthquakes, or volcanic eruptions, the coming destruction will not result in the death of innocent people. “God is love,” says the Bible, and God, whose name is Jehovah, promises that “the righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.” (1 John 4:8; Psalm 37:29) How, though, can you survive the great tribulation and enjoy the promised blessings? The key is: Heed the advance warning!
The WHOLE article is Very-thought-provoking…especially when/IF you take a focused look at the whole world and examine/look at global events/evidence as a whole…check it out: BE ALERT TO THE CHANGING TIDE no2-2016-march/great-tribulation-warning/
PEACE & LONGEVITY TO ALL SQUIRRELS & KIDS (young & old)…PLEASE BE CAREFUL CROSSING ANY ROADS (especially from the spacious to the narrow)! THANK YOU!:)
