“All things are lawful (permissible), but not all things are advantageous. All things are lawful for me, but I will not let myself be controlled (or brought under authority) by anything.” (1 Corinthians 6:12)
(Honestly, when/IF writing/living/working, i am NOT seeking anything advantageous (for myself) whatsoever.)
How do knowledge, understanding, and wisdom differ?
A person who has knowledge takes in information, or facts. Someone who has understanding can see how one fact relates to another. But a person who has wisdom is able to combine knowledge with understanding and use them well. —w16.10, p. 18.
During September, my intent, is to bring as much COMFORT…
the easing or alleviation of a person’s feelings of grief or distress. (on-line definition)
(as possible spiritually/physically) to fellow-fragile-life. My main focus will be on this Compassionate Comfort Campaign. (Of course, mostly in my immediate community (due to my circumstances/my limitations) and of course, within my own home. And perhaps, more broadly here on-line.) We live in times of extreme distress…globally and otherwise. Everyone is hurting in one way or another. All of us are in need of comfort! We all suffer individually and collectively. (IF any reader happens upon this post and/or other writings…i hope YOU:) will find something of value here/there to help You cope.)
Psalm 108:12 “Help us in our distress, For salvation by humans is worthless.”
The only REAL, lasting comfort comes from looking UP (and not just looking in(ward))…looking to the True God/the Designer/the Creator/the Intelligent Mind behind this beautiful, permanent planet, Earth! Centuries of history (and modern-story) teach us…salvation by humans is worthless…(aka short-lived).
“Throw all your anxiety on God because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
