Christendom’s Clergy (including the Puppet/Pope) sing such a silly song…(of denial of ACCOUNTABILITY)!! They have utterly failed to teach the TRUTH. People are suffering as a result of eating lies. The spiritually (aka ethically/morally) confused/bankrupt/impoverished state of so-called Christian societies…is Christendom’s  leaders’ and (duped by their duplicity) followers’ rotten fruit —millions massacred:( and millions(?) molested!!

🙁 — of their no labors.

For centuries the clergy of Christendom had failed to impart the knowledge of Jehovah, replacing it with man-made traditions and unscriptural doctrines. [excerpted: Righteousness Sprouts in Zion, Isaiah’s Prophecy II; Chp 22, pp 321-334]

Come on People, Don’t Forget now…a history reminder needed?

Guenter Lewy writes: “Had German Catholicism from the start adhered to a policy of resolute opposition to the Nazi regime, world history might well have taken a different course. Even if this struggle had ultimately failed to defeat Hitler and prevent all of his many crimes, it would in this view have raised the moral prestige of the Church immeasurably. The human cost of such resistance would undeniably have been great, but these sacrifices would have been made for the greatest of all causes. With the home front unreliable, Hitler might not have dared going to war and literally millions of lives would have been saved…When thousands of German anti-Nazis were tortured to death in Hitler’s concentration camps, when the Polish intelligentsia was slaughtered, when hundreds of thousands of Russians died as a result of being treated as Slavic Untermenschen [subhumans], and when 6,000,000 human beings were murdered for being ‘non-Aryan,’ Catholic Church officials in Germany bolstered the regime perpetrating these crimes. The Pope in Rome, the spiritual head and supreme moral teacher of the Roman Catholic Church, remained silent.” ~ The Catholic Church and Nazi Germany pages 320, 341.

How(?) Pi(o)us!

“Pope Pius XI remarked to the German envoys how pleased he was that “the German Government now had at its head a man uncompromisingly opposed to Communism,” and on July 20, 1933, at an elaborate ceremony in the Vatican, Cardinal Pacelli (who was soon to become Pope Pius XII) signed the concordat.”

One historian writes: “The Concordat [with the Vatican] was a great victory for Hitler. It gave him the first moral support he had received from the outer world, and this from the most exalted source.” During the celebrations at the Vatican, Pacelli conferred on von Papen the high papal decoration of the Grand Cross of the Order of Pius. Winston Churchill, in his book The Gathering Storm, published in 1948, tells how von Papen further used “his reputation as a good Catholic” to gain church support for the Nazi takeover of Austria. In 1938, in honor of Hitler’s birthday, Cardinal Innitzer ordered that all Austrian churches fly the swastika flag, ring their bells, and pray for the Nazi dictator.”

I WILL NEVER SUPPORT (A) RELIGION(S) THAT HELPED (PUT) HITLER (IN POWER) (period)!!!

One who was “a master of crowd psychology as well as a brilliant orator” was Adolf Hitler. Like many demagogues of the past, says Dick Geary in Hitler and Nazism, Hitler believed that ‘the masses were swayed not by their brains but by their emotions.’ He played on this human weakness by cleverly exploiting the age-old technique of directing people’s hatred against a common enemy—as when he “turned the fears and resentments of Germans against the Jews,” says Purcell. Hitler vilified the Jews, saying, ‘The Jew is the corrupter of the German nation.’

What is horrifying about this whole era is that millions of seemingly decent people were easily incited to mass murder. “How could the people of a supposedly civilised country not simply tolerate but become implicated in the horrific barbarism of the Nazi state?” asks Geary. And it was not just a “civilised” country but also supposedly a Christian country! They were drawn into this because they preferred the philosophies and schemes of men to the teachings of Jesus Christ. And how many sincere, idealistic men and women have been led into horrific atrocities since then!

“What experience and history teach is this,” says German philosopher Georg Hegel, “that nations and governments have never learned anything from history or acted upon any lessons they might have drawn from it.” [excerpted article: The Nations are Still Not Learning]

[…] Two vicious world wars have been fought involving so-called Christian nations. Down to the present, Christendom’s form of religion has proved powerless to stop ethnic cleansing and intertribal slaughter among her own members. (2 Timothy 3:5) Although Jesus taught his followers to trust in God’s Kingdom, the nations of Christendom continue to rely for security on military arsenals and political alliances. (Matthew 6:10) Indeed, most of the world’s major arms producers are found in the nations of Christendom! Yes, when Christendom trusts in human efforts and institutions for a secure future, she too is trusting in “unreality.” [excerpted: Isaiah’s Prophecy II p 302]

Yanking weeds? Yep!…for healthy spiritual garden growth…a necessary!:)  Check out these eye-opening excerpts from article:  Is Religion at the Root of Mankind’s Problems? W 04

According to the Bible, there is a very simple answer. Posing as “an angel of light,” Satan the Devil has misled millions into following his teachings rather than God’s. (2 Corinthians 11:14) The apostle John showed that Satan’s influence is so extensive that “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19) John knew that Satan was “misleading the entire inhabited earth.”—Revelation 12:9.

What have been the consequences of this? Satan has promoted religious systems that on the surface appear to be holy. They have “a façade of ‘religion,’” but their true condition is exposed by the evil fruitage they produce. (2 Timothy 3:5J. B. Phillips; Matthew 7:15-20) Instead of helping to solve mankind’s problems, religion actually becomes part of the problem.

Do not quickly dismiss that idea as being farfetched or unreasonable. Remember, the very nature of deception is that the one being deceived is unaware of it. The apostle Paul gave an example of this when he wrote: “The things which the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God.” (1 Corinthians 10:20) Those people would likely have been shocked to think that they were worshiping demons. They thought that they were worshiping a good god, or gods, of some kind. Yet, in reality they had been deceived by “wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places,” who support Satan in his efforts to mislead mankind.—Ephesians 6:12.

“What I teach,” said Jesus Christ, “is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me.” (John 7:16) Yes, what he taught was from Almighty God. So Jesus’ teachings had a powerful, uplifting effect on those who listened to him. They did not ‘numb the human conscience or fill the human brain with escapist fantasies.’ On the contrary, Jesus’ teachings set people free from religious error and human philosophies produced by a world that was “in darkness mentally” because of the Devil’s deception.—Ephesians 4:18; Matthew 15:14; John 8:31, 32.

True Christians were identified, not by a mere profession of piety, but by a faith that reflected the beautiful qualities produced by God’s holy spirit. (Galatians 5:22, 23; James 1:22; 2:26) Outstanding among these qualities—and the identifying mark of genuine Christianity—is the sublime quality of love.—John 13:34, 35.

Note this crucial point, however: Neither Jesus nor his apostles expected the Christian congregation to continue in the form in which it was originally established. They knew that apostasy would develop and that the true religion would be overshadowed for a time.

True Religion Hidden for a Time

In an illustration about wheat and weeds, Jesus foretold that true religion would be virtually obscured for a time. Read the account for yourself at Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43. Jesus sowed a field with wheat, “the fine seed,” which pictured his faithful disciples who would make up the original Christian congregation. He warned that “an enemy,” Satan the Devil, would in time oversow the wheat field with “weeds”—people who professed to follow Jesus Christ but who in fact rejected his teachings.

Very soon after the death of Jesus’ apostles, individuals appeared who proved to be “weeds,” favoring twisted human teachings over “the very word of Jehovah.” (Jeremiah 8:8, 9; Acts 20:29, 30) As a consequence, a perverted, counterfeit Christianity appeared on the world stage. It was dominated by what the Bible calls “the lawless one”—a corrupt clergy class that was itself steeped in “every unrighteous deception.” (2 Thessalonians 2:6-10) Jesus foretold that this situation would change “in the conclusion of the system of things.” The wheatlike Christians would be collected together in unity and “the weeds” would eventually be destroyed.

It is this counterfeit Christianity that bears responsibility for the “centuries of unredeemed barbarism” and spiritual darkness that enveloped Christendom in the centuries that followed. Foreseeing this and all the other depraved and violent acts done since then in the name of religion, the apostle Peter rightly predicted that “on account of these [professed Christians] the way of the truth [would] be spoken of abusively.”—2 Peter 2:1, 2.

“A Theology of Rage and Hatred”

It certainly is not just Christendom that has given religion a poor reputation. Think of the fundamentalist versions of “militant piety,” for example, that former nun Karen Armstrong says have been spawned by “every major religious tradition.” According to Armstrong, one crucial test of any religion is that it should lead to “practical compassion.” What has been the record of fundamentalist religions in this regard? “Fundamentalist faith,” she writes, “be it Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, fails this crucial test if it becomes a theology of rage and hatred.” (The Battle for God—Fundamentalism in Judaism, Christianity and Islam) But is it only the “fundamentalist” brand of religion that has failed this test and become “a theology of rage and hatred”? History shows otherwise.

Satan has, in fact, built up a world empire of false religion, identified by rage, hatred, and almost endless bloodshed. The Bible calls this empire “Babylon the Great, the mother . . . of the disgusting things of the earth,” and it is pictured as a prostitute who rides on the back of a beastlike political system. It is noteworthy that she is held accountable for “the blood . . . of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.”—Revelation 17:4-6; 18:24.

Not Everyone Has Been Deceived

History proves, however, that not everyone has been deceived. Even in the darkest of times, notes Melvyn Bragg, “many fine souls did good when most around them were evil.” Genuine Christians continued to “worship [God] with spirit and truth.” (John 4:21-24) They stood apart from a worldwide religious system that had prostituted itself as “a reinforcer of military power.” They refused to be drawn into a working relationship of Church and State that history reveals as “more a pact made by Satan than any Jesus of Nazareth.”—Two Thousand Years—The Second Millennium: From Medieval Christendom to Global Christianity.

In more recent times, Jehovah’s Witnesses have been noted for their influence for good. To keep free from any taint of false religion, they have based their beliefs and actions solely on God’s inspired Word, the Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) And like first-century Christians, they have followed Jesus’ command to be “no part of the world.” (John 15:17-19;17:14-16) In Nazi Germany, for example, they refused to compromise Christian principles and therefore were not acceptable according to Nazi ideology. Hitler hated them for it. Says one school textbook: “Jehovah’s Witnesses . . . followed the teaching of the Bible not to take up weapons in any cause. So they refused to serve in the army or to have anything to do with the Nazis. In retaliation, the SS imprisoned whole families of Jehovah’s Witnesses.” (Germany—1918-45) Indeed, hundreds of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Germany died as a result of the Nazi persecution.

Of course, other courageous individuals of various religions suffered for their beliefs. But Jehovah’s Witnesses did this as a united religious body. By far the majority held firm to the fundamental Scriptural principle: “Obey God as ruler rather than men.”—Acts 5:29; Mark 12:17.

The Root of the Problem

So it is only partly true that religion lies at the root of all of mankind’s problems. False religion does. Yet, God intends to remove all false religion very soon now. (Revelation 17:16, 17; 18:21) His command to anyone who loves justice and righteousness is: “Get out of her [that is, Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion], my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.” (Revelation 18:4, 5) Yes, God himself is deeply offended by religion that ‘encourages strife, numbs the human conscience, fills the brain with escapist fantasies, and causes people to be narrow-minded, superstitious, and full of hatred and fear’!

“Schools as Killing Fields”

Breathing-Fragile-Life change choice compassion education government humility insights Joan Winifred lamentations of the heart parenting sovereignty Truth wisdom

That phrase: “Schools as Killing Fields” popped into my mind after briefly reading the disturbing news of yet another school shooting to hit the USA today, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in Maryland.
A shot, shots heard not only around the world, but too close to home, huh??… in children’s classrooms!!:( 🙁 aka so-called safe places of planting seeds of knowledge and helping these seeds bloom into beautiful bouquets(?)(.)(!)

What are schools “really” teaching kids?? (By example, by word, by deed)
What are parents “really” teaching kids?? (..)
What is our individual and collective histories “really” teaching kids?? (and about so-called “acceptable” behavior??) Love?? War?? Peace??

And yes, people do poorly choose to hurt and kill or pick up a gun for reasons  other than say nationalism.

Have we taught kids to overcome jealousy and the type of pride that causes one to treat others as inferior??

Could it be considered compelled speech or indoctrination requiring/demanding ritualistically at the start of every school day (and at any significant school events, assemblies, etc.) all students “pledge allegiance to the flag” and all that so -called “gloriously” represents?? Or to stop everything at the moment they hear the tune… time to sing an ode of worship aka The National Anthem with hand on heart??

Have kids been taught at home and/or at school to love your neighbor aka fellow-breathing-beautiful-fragile-life as yourself??

During the 17th and 18th centuries, people in Britain, France, and the United States promoted devotion to their State, so that nationalism, in effect, became like a religion. During the 19th and 20th centuries, nationalism began to dominate the thinking of most of mankind. Eventually, Christendom’s churches splintered into numerous sects, most of which tolerate nationalism. Churchgoers have even gone to war against fellow believers of another nation. Today, Christendom is divided by both sectarian beliefs and nationalism.

16. What sort of issues divide those in Christendom?

16 In the 20th century, some of Christendom’s hundreds of sects initiated the ecumenical movement in a push for unity. But after many decades of effort, few churches have amalgamated into one, and churchgoers are still divided on such questions as evolution, abortion, homosexuality, and the ordination of women. In some parts of Christendom, church leaders try to bring people from different sects together by downplaying previously divisive doctrines. However, downplaying doctrines leaves people with a shallow faith and certainly does not unite the divided house of Christendom.

Rising Above Nationalism

17. How was true worship foretold to unite people “in the final part of the days”?

17 Although mankind is now more horribly divided than ever, unity continues to distinguish true worshippers. God’s prophet Micah foretold: “In unity I shall set them, like a flock in the pen.” (Mic. 2:12) Micah foretold the elevation of true worship above all other forms of worship, whether of false gods or of the State as a god. He wrote: “It must occur in the final part of the days that the mountain of the house of Jehovah will become firmly established above the top of the mountains, and it will certainly be lifted up above the hills; and to it peoples must stream. For all the peoples, for their part, will walk each one in the name of its god; but we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God.”—Mic. 4:1, 5.

18. True worship has helped us to make what changes?

18 Micah also described how true worship would unite former enemies. “[People from] many nations will certainly go and say: ‘Come, you people, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will instruct us about his ways, and we will walk in his paths.’ . . . And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. They will not lift up sword, nation against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.” (Mic. 4:2, 3) Those leaving the worship of man-made gods or of nations to embrace the worship of Jehovah enjoy global unity. God instructs them in the ways of love.

19. The unifying of millions of people in true worship is clear evidence of what?

19 The global unity of true Christians today is unique and is clear evidence that Jehovah continues to guide his people by means of his spirit. Individuals from all nations are being united on a scale never before seen in human history. This is in remarkable fulfillment of what is implied by Revelation 7:9″After this I saw, and look! A great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues*(or “languages”), standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, and there were palm branches in their hands.” 14 “So right away I said to him: “My lord, you are the one who knows.” And he said to me “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” and it indicates that God’s angels will soon release the “winds” that will destroy the present wicked system of things. (Read Revelation 7:1-4 “After this I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding tight the four winds of the earth, so that no wind could blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree.  And I saw another angel ascending from the sunrise,*(or “east”) having a seal of the living God; and he called with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,  saying: “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until after we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.”  And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:”

Revelation 7:9 “After this I saw, and look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues,*(or “languages”) standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands.10  And they keep shouting with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation we owe to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Is it not a privilege to be united in the worldwide brotherhood? How can each of us contribute to that unity? (excerpted reading: Unity Identifies True Worship W 2010)

There are millions of true followers of the humble, compassionate example of Jesus aka those trying their imperfect best to follow the model he set in their daily living and choosing. Those who accept the Superlative Sovereignty of Yahweh and experience REAL Freedom (aka those who refuse to worship (or sacrifice to) the inferior god of war)! Those who have risen above the divisiveness, destruction, and death brought on by prideful nationalism and its false teachings… who don’t pick up pieces/guns/weapons of war to kill, or take revenge, or to ascend, but rather (out of the lime-light) pick up their PEACE to forgive, heal, resolve, reconcile, help, unite in a loving brotherhood of global mankind!!:)

government hope Hope Joan Winifred justice leadership logic trust Truth

A Greek word…

“Re-Creation” Or “regeneration; renewal.” The Greek word pa·lin·ge·ne·siʹa is composed of elements that mean “again; anew; once more” and “birth; origin.” The ancient Jewish writer Philo used the term with reference to the renewal of the world after the Flood; Jewish historian Josephus used it regarding the reestablishment of Israel after the exile. Here in Matthew’s account, it refers to the time when the rule of Christ and his corulers will bring to the earth a renewal of the perfect conditions enjoyed by the first humans before they sinned. [excerpted New World Translation Study Edition, Gems]

Matthew 19:28: “Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to you, in the re-creation, when the Son of man sits down on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.”

Those “called to be holy ones” are said to judge, not themselves, but “the world.” (1 Co 1:1,2; 6:2 “Or do you not know that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to try very trivial matters?”) Those reigning with Christ form a kingdom of priests. (1 Peter 2:9 “But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that you should declare abroad the excellencies” of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Revelation 5:10 “and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”) Consequently, “the twelve tribes of Israel” mentioned at Matthew 19:28 and Luke 22:30 “so that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and sit on thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel” evidently represent “the world” of mankind who are outside that royal priestly class and whom those sitting on heavenly thrones will judge.—Revelation 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had not worshipped the wild beast or its image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years.” [excerpted reading: “Tribe” Insight, Vol. 2]

A comparative study of Bible translations is useful; particularly for those of us not fluent/proficient enough in Hebrew, Aramaic, Koine, Old English, Middle English, Early-Modern English. New World Translation Revised Version 2013  is my favorite for many reasons… as well as the study edition! I’ve found it to be trustworthy

I like this word “palingenesia”…find it to be hopeful. The human family and our home/Earth need renewal/healing…compassionate justice.:)

Let’s humbly & courageously face the facts people aka acknowledge our human historical record FULL of undeniable evidence of human’s inability to unselfishly rule other humans successfully long-term and sans violence and destruction and ruination of the planet… every form of human self-government has been a failure!!…(including democracy)…true theocracy is our only hope for compassionate justice!!

Isaiah 44:21:

Daniel’s prophecy, for example, provided information that constituted an invaluable link between the close of the writing of the Hebrew or pre-Christian Scriptures and Messiah’s coming. Its forecast of world events, including the rise and fall of successive world powers, gave assurance to Jews living during the centuries of Persian, Greek, and Roman dominance (as well as to Christians thereafter) that there was no “blind spot” in God’s forevision, that their own times were indeed foreseen and that Jehovah’s sovereign purpose was still certain of fulfillment. It protected them against putting faith and hope in such passing world regimes with their transient power of control and enabled those faithful ones to direct their course with wisdom. [excerpted: Prophecy Insight, Vol. 2 ]

—Compare Daniel 8:20-26:

“The two-horned ram that you saw stands for the kings of Meʹdi·a and Persia. 21 The hairy male goat stands for the king of Greece; and the great horn that was between its eyes stands for the first king. 22 As for the horn that was broken, so that four stood up instead of it, there are four kingdoms from his nation that will stand up, but not with his power.

23 “And in the final part of their kingdom, as the transgressors act to a completion,(* or reached their limit) a fierce-looking king who understands ambiguous sayings(*or who is skilled in intrigue) will stand up. 24 His power will become great, but not through his own power. He will bring ruin in an extraordinary way,(*or bring terrible destruction) and he will be successful and act effectively. He will bring mighty ones to ruin, also the people made up of the holy ones. 25 And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security (*and possibly without warning) he will bring many to ruin. He will even stand up against the Prince of princes, but he will be broken without human hand.

26 “What was said in the vision about the evenings and the mornings is true, but you must keep the vision secret, for it refers to a time many days from now.”(*or to the distant future)

Daniel 11:1-20:

“As for me, in the first year of Da·riʹus the Mede, I stood up to strengthen and fortify him. (*or as a fortress to him) 2 What I will tell you now is the truth:

“Look! Three more kings will stand up(*or arise) for Persia, and the fourth one will amass greater riches than all others. And when he becomes strong by means of his riches, he will rouse up everything against the kingdom of Greece.

3 “And a mighty king will stand up and rule with extensive dominion and do as he pleases. 4 But when he has stood up, his kingdom will be broken and be divided toward the four winds of the heavens, but not to his descendants (*or posterity) and not like the dominion with which he ruled; for his kingdom will be uprooted and go to others besides these.

5 “And the king of the south will become strong, that is, one of his princes; but one will prevail against him and will rule with extensive dominion, greater than that one’s ruling power.

6 “After some years they will make an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north in order to make an equitable arrangement.(*or an agreement) But she will not retain the power of her arm; and he will not stand, nor his arm; and she will be given up, she and those bringing her in, and the one who caused her birth, and the one making her strong in those times. 7 And one from the sprout of her roots will stand up in his position, and he will come to the army and come against the fortress of the king of the north and will take action against them and prevail.  8 Also with their gods, with their metal images, (*or molten statues)with their desirable (*or “precious) articles of silver and of gold, and with captives, he will come to Egypt. For some years he will stand off from the king of the north, 9 who will come against the kingdom of the king of the south, but will go back to his own land.

10 “As for his sons, they will prepare for war and assemble a vast, great army. He will certainly advance and sweep through like a flood. But he will go back, and he will wage war all the way to his fortress.

11 “And the king of the south will become bitter and will go out and fight with him, that is, with the king of the north; and he will muster a large crowd, but the crowd will be given into that one’s hand. 12 And the crowd will be carried away. His heart will become exalted, and he will cause tens of thousands to fall; but he will not make use of his strong position.

13 “And the king of the north will return and muster a crowd larger than the first; and at the end of the times, after some years, he will surely come with a large army and with many resources. 14 In those times many will stand up against the king of the south.

“And the violent ones(*or the sons of the robbers) among your people will be carried along to try making a vision come true; but they will stumble.

15 “And the king of the north will come and throw up a siege rampart and capture a fortified city. And the arms(*or armies) of the south will not stand, nor will his select men; and they will have no power to stand. 16 The one coming against him will do as he pleases, and no one will stand before him. He will stand in the land of the Decoration,(*or the beauty) and ability to exterminate will be in his hand. 17 He will set his face(*or be determined) to come with the full force of his kingdom, and there will be equitable terms(*or he will make an agreement) with him; and he will act effectively. As regards the daughter of women, it will be granted to him to bring her to ruin. And she will not stand, and she will not continue to be his. 18 He will turn his face back to the coastlands and will capture many. And a commander will make the reproach from him cease for himself, so that his reproach will not be.
