A Greek word…

“Re-Creation” Or “regeneration; renewal.” The Greek word pa·lin·ge·ne·siʹa is composed of elements that mean “again; anew; once more” and “birth; origin.” The ancient Jewish writer Philo used the term with reference to the renewal of the world after the Flood; Jewish historian Josephus used it regarding the reestablishment of Israel after the exile. Here in Matthew’s account, it refers to the time when the rule of Christ and his corulers will bring to the earth a renewal of the perfect conditions enjoyed by the first humans before they sinned. [excerpted New World Translation Study Edition, Gems]

Matthew 19:28: “Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to you, in the re-creation, when the Son of man sits down on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.”

Those “called to be holy ones” are said to judge, not themselves, but “the world.” (1 Co 1:1,2; 6:2 “Or do you not know that the holy ones will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to try very trivial matters?”) Those reigning with Christ form a kingdom of priests. (1 Peter 2:9 “But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that you should declare abroad the excellencies” of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Revelation 5:10 “and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”) Consequently, “the twelve tribes of Israel” mentioned at Matthew 19:28 and Luke 22:30 “so that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and sit on thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel” evidently represent “the world” of mankind who are outside that royal priestly class and whom those sitting on heavenly thrones will judge.—Revelation 20:4 “And I saw thrones, and those who sat on them were given authority to judge. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed for the witness they gave about Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had not worshipped the wild beast or its image and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years.” [excerpted reading: “Tribe” Insight, Vol. 2]

A comparative study of Bible translations is useful; particularly for those of us not fluent/proficient enough in Hebrew, Aramaic, Koine, Old English, Middle English, Early-Modern English. New World Translation Revised Version 2013  is my favorite for many reasons… as well as the study edition! I’ve found it to be trustworthy

I like this word “palingenesia”…find it to be hopeful. The human family and our home/Earth need renewal/healing…compassionate justice.:)

Let’s humbly & courageously face the facts people aka acknowledge our human historical record FULL of undeniable evidence of human’s inability to unselfishly rule other humans successfully long-term and sans violence and destruction and ruination of the planet… every form of human self-government has been a failure!!…(including democracy)…true theocracy is our only hope for compassionate justice!!

Obey God as ruler rather than men.” (Acts 5:29)

aka Respecting/listening to the HIGHEST Authority–True, Living God of Agape/Compassion Yahweh/Jehovah.
Simple logic… simple “reason”ing…
Man did not make air, water, trees, ocean… Earth.
Man has polluted air, water, ocean, Earth… and cut down how many countless trees??
IF i obey man rather than God… (evidence shows) the odds are greater my outcome will be the same… polluted and cut short!:(

self-adjusting buoyancy…

Perhaps a very little thought will now enable you to account for those repeated whaling disasters—some few of which are casually chronicled—of this man or that man being taken out of the boat by the line, and lost. For, when the line is darting out, to be seated then in the boat, is like being seated in the midst of the manifold whizzings of a steam-engine in full play, when every flying beam, and shaft, and wheel, is grazing you. It is worse; for you cannot sit motionless in the heart of these perils, because the boat is rocking like a cradle, and you are pitched one way and the other, without the slightest warning; and only by a certain self-adjusting buoyancy and simultaneousness of volition and action, can you escape being made a Mazeppa of, and run away with where the all-seeing sun himself could never pierce you out.

Moby Dick “the line” chapter LX…

{alone… man… (clue less)… impossible! (tangled/tossed here and there, etc. death-driven) With…God…all things… possible (stability, etc. life-given)}

(Luke 18:27) He said: “The things impossible with men are possible with God.”

25 When the disciples heard that, they were greatly astounded, saying: “Who really can be saved?” 26 Looking at them intently, Jesus said to them: “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:25, 26)

There is an over-whelming, exhaustive-flood of so-called “information”… a raging mud-flood of a virtual-kind on-line–the internet/the media, in print, etc….caution is needed… so as not to drown!! And to stay afloat/alive in the pure-*sea-of-Accuracy!!:)

(*Sea/see…positive results aka wisdom is proved true by clear evidence.)

(That’s where i choose to swim (*see results); in safe waters (of accuracy) without sharks, snakes, profiteers, etc., Piranha!-OUCH.)

am very selective about my mind-food…(If we are what we eat, i wanna be sweet and not bitter!😉 and healthy, happy, and hopeful. 🙂

{So much so-called “information” “knowledge” is tainted by bias, self-serving-opinion, and extreme-emotion or my POV;)}

i thoroughly “respect” this ancient-Biblical warning:

The words of the wise are like oxgoads, and their collected sayings are like firmly embedded nails; they have been given from one shepherd. 12 As for anything besides these, my son, be warned: To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh. Ecclesiastes 12:12…

3 “Curiosity has long been a human trait. The dangers of wasting too much time in the pursuit of useless or even harmful information were recognized back in the days of King Solomon.”

i am a learner… and value study/research–“accuracy” every day: to aid in sound-balanced-accurate decision-making that doesn’t endanger/hurt my life or fellow-fragile-life or cut it short..

 Some individuals have become information addicts, always feeding an insatiable desire to be up-to-date while neglecting more important things. Others acquire partial information about complex fields of knowledge and then view themselves as experts. Based on only a limited understanding, they may make crucial decisions that can cause harm to themselves or to others. And always present is the danger of exposure to false or inaccurate information. There is often no reliable way to verify that the flood of information is accurate and balanced. w 5/1/00 par. 2

Is it a “trap” to fall into mind-binge-eating?! Is one mind/one stomach “actually” capable of or have legitimate accessibility to all known mind-food out there?! Does the “arrogant” mind-binger say… “hmmm, I know-it-all because I’ve eaten it all…the (junk??) food out there/readily available aka anything/everything I can get my mind on… and am now left empty or with sour stomach/indigestion or worse (and unsatisfied and still hungry)… so (is it “reasonable” for the junk-food mind-binger to conclude), there must not exist “any” healthy, whole, nutritious, satisfying-truth-food?!”

Just like physical food choices have short/long-term positive or negative health affects…

 Personally, my mind-appetite is always satisfied by scripture…

16 I applied my heart to acquire wisdom and to see all the activity* happening on the earth,+ even going without sleep day and night.* 17 Then I considered all the work of the true God, and I realized that mankind cannot comprehend what happens under the sun.+ No matter how hard men try, they cannot comprehend it. Even if they claim that they are wise enough to know, they cannot really comprehend it.+ Ecclesiastes chapter 8.

{Perhaps? Post to be continued…idk.}

Happy-Healthy-Mind-Eating to You Reader:).. and PEACE:)
