Palm Tree(s) thriving in desert

Heb., ta·mar […]The long taproot of the palm enables it to reach down to water sources not available to many plants and thus to thrive amid desert conditions. […]The tall, stately palm, with its straight, uniform trunk rising up to 30 m (100 ft) and cresting with a plume of long feathery fronds, makes a graceful silhouette of unique beauty. [excerpt Palm Tree Insight Vol 2]

for palms are sometimes used in the Bible to stand for uprightness. (Ps. 92:12 “But the righteous will flourish like a palm tree And grow big like a cedar in Lebʹa·non.”)

Makin’ Happy…happen!

communication compassion conscientious-ness dance exercise happiness insights Joan Winifred language love music never giving up! peace positive qualities respect things i learned wisdom

My kind of violinist (watch below IF You choose)… cool the way she combines dance…

making music is making movement…makin’ happy…snappy-lol;)

Sedentary is making sick and stagnant…life is on the move…happily progressive… to stay healthy mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually one cannot be stagnant/stuck behind (in the past)…

Forgetting the things behind and stretching forward to the things ahead. Phil 3:13.

Healthy food mind/body can help make…ma·ka′ri·oi…Greek:happy.”

When we display these qualities, we create the conditions for having peaceful relationships with others and with God, which result in true happiness. ~excerpted What it Really Takes to be Happy

 Factors That Contribute to Happiness:

Love moves others to love you in return.

Joy gives you the strength to cope with challenges.

Peace helps you to keep your relationships free of strife.

Patience enables you to stay happy even when you are under trial.

 Kindness draws others to you.

Goodness on your part makes others respond when you need help.

Faith will assure you of God’s loving direction.

Mildness will bring you calmness of heart, mind, and body.

Self-control means that your mistakes (aka non-compassionate choices) will be fewer.

Please check out this “wise” counsel… it works! YAY!

Please Try it! & see for yourself:

“And you should continue to be made new in your dominant mental attitude, and should put on the new personality […] Therefore, now that you have put away deceit, each one of you speak truth with his neighbor, because we are members belonging to one another. […]do not let the sun set while you are still angry…[…] Let a rotten word not come out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up as the need may be, to impart what is beneficial to the hearers.

“Put away from yourselves every kind of malicious bitterness, anger, wrath, screaming, and abusive speech, as well as everything injurious. But become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another…[..]” (Ephesians 4:23-32)

Loving, kind, respectful communication creates happy atmosphere: contributing to your own happiness and to everybody around you. Personally, I don’t go there: profanity, vulgarity… my compassion compass brings me in the opposite direction: daily practice/exercise in displaying self-discipline: gentle, compassionate, non-violent living/thinking/speaking… self-control: especially when you’re dealing with angry people. Of course, I’m always working on being less sarcastic and not raising my voice when flustered aka upset.

Please: Keep Moving…Your mind, mouth, body…Happily progressing!

PEACE & Much HAPPINESS to YOU!:)

Treasure & Trash

attitude control heart insights Joan Winifred positive qualities

Happy or hateful heart?!…hmmmmm

vulgarity vs. purity

hearts speak…trash talkin’? treasure talkin’? vulgar? pure?

some are tnt…just itching to explode, eh?..

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.— Matthew 6:21

In a sense, a person’s earthly treasure could include prestige, fame, or power. Jesus made a point similar to the one Solomon made in the book of Ecclesiastes—worldly treasures are not lasting. As you have likely seen in the world around you, all such treasures are perishable and can be easily lost. Professor F. Dale Bruner writes of such treasures: “It is well known that fame is fickle. Last Saturday’s hero is next season’s has-been. This year’s financial success is next year’s bankruptcy. . . . [Jesus] loves human beings. He urges them to avoid the inevitable despair that comes with evanescent glory. It doesn’t last. Jesus does not want [his] disciples [to be] disappointed. ‘Every day the world turns over on someone who was just sitting on top of it.’” Though most people would agree with those comments, how many allow the reality behind them to alter their approach to life? Will you?

emotions are fickle..they come and go..why? let fleeting stuff i.e. anger/despair destroy you and those around you?

A key point is this: Our being truly successful does not depend on our achievements or position in the eyes of the world.

You may not be able to control your circumstances completely, but you can control how you deal with them. ~Find Real Success in life

Redirect Your efforts for lasting….treasure!

i’m only pure talkin’:)
