Spill any tea?
Broke my favorite mug today by accident. I was meditatively distracted…put on coffee table and a pile of randomly/disorderly placed books toppled and crash…ceramic cup fell on hard tile.
Good thing finished my tea first!;) some syrupy-sugar residue.
Another good thing–only a broken cup, eh?
That’s partly why “try” not to get overly attached to “any” temporary material possessions. It was a gift and sentimentally attached to Giver. 🙂
No, didn’t super glue, tossed in recycling bin.
Am missing my perfect-size-mug, at the moment, cause am thirsty for some Green tea now. Yeah, I like a cup at night while working/reading/thinking/writing.
Studying keeps me UP late; not Green tea.
Which, of course, reminds me, Bible-book-worm, of scripture:
19 Stop storing up for yourselves treasures on the earth,+ where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Rather, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven,+ where neither moth nor rust consumes,+ and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

p.s. of course, this fluff post is about more than a broken ceramic cup…symbolically–it’s about accepting somethings/people in this life are broken..and puny-human hands cannot fix Everything/Everyone exactly!…even with the best of skills and intentions..refocusing on the what can feasibly be done to help Others (and not being wrongly attached/misdirected/futile efforts) …bringing peace to the pieces of fragmented problems…i love this Divine promise:
due to imperfections, limitations, no-follow-through, unforeseen events, illnesses, etc., etc., we, Humans, don’t always have “sure success”…we try, we die…but God/Divine Mind/Creator/Yahweh/Jehovah/King of Eternity with no beginning and no end…”will certainly accomplish what is His delight.”
what is my delight?
