Most hands are busy hands…writing, giving, building, destroying, doing, cooking, baking, making…(You name? it).
i happen to have 2 workable hands w/long fingers/short nails (Thank God!:)…i just cannot imagine how my life would be “without” healthy/flexible/movable/workable/non-arthritic hands (or missing 1 hand either right or left)…however, upon close examination of these so-called “healthy” hands…i cannot help but ask myself: what are these hands actually accomplishing?!
are my hands triumphing or trumpeting hands??…humble hands or haughty hands??…giving hands or taking hands?? merciful or cruel hands?? killing or forgiving hands?? stingy or generous hands?? selfish or unselfish hands?? non-compassionate hands or compassionate hands?? hating hands or loving hands??
i read this “handy” passage tonight: thus, the inspiration for this post/writing or righting…
(You may read…(it): left to right…or right to write or right to left…or left..to left…or not at all or upside/down: i’m Not judging your reading or your writing or your righting or Your hands…healthy or unhealthy:
“So when you make gifts of mercy (0r gifts to the poor), do not blow a trumpet ahead of you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be glorified by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when making gifts of mercy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your gifts of mercy may be in secret. Then your Father who looks on in secret will repay you.” ~a teaching of Jesus the Sage of Nazareth at Matthew 6:2,3,4
Only a/(the) person knows IF they are indeed a righty or a lefty? (or ambidextrous?)
Btw: i’m a righty who (secretly) likes using my left hand for some tasks. OOPS-sorry!…my left/right hand usage is now public. 🙂
