Patience helps keep one/us/fellow-fragile-life restrained (or in self-control along with maintaining a positive outlook/attitude) under… say (extreme) pressure, stress, distress, duress, injustice, persecution, provocation…situations/conditions/circumstances beyond our direct/indirect/immediate, etc. control.
Patience helps me keep myself restrained i.e. so as NOT to take my own (imperfect) sense of justice out on You/fellow-fragile-life…patience helps me treat all Others the way I would like to be treated… aka forgiven (and with respect).
(Some of us-fragile-life choose to practice revenge/retaliation/getting so-called even in both big ways and little ways. I don’t agree with this type of counter-productive behavior…it doesn’t improve things. Another hurtful act or word doesn’t contribute to healing/peace.)
(Though, it is difficult when hurting to not self-focus and remain calm and open-minded to the big picture of compassion.)
My patience and compassion have been tested a lot the past few weeks… between illnesses, hurricanes, people passing…including RIP T.N. on Friday this week:(
Obviously, patience is a positive quality… a healthy spiritual trait and may be an underutilized coping strategy…encompassing forgiveness and compassion and endurance when things get tough.
Patience also involves waiting… and don’t like to keep anybody waiting nor do I like waiting for looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!
Thank You Reader:) for patiently reading this post.
