Hungry Birdies (4)

Good Afternoon Birdies:)… aka Respected Readers in need of an afternoon/evening/dusk/dawn or morning snack -lol:) Thank You for reading (1)..(2)…(3)…picking up topic of who could provide/qualify to atone once for all time for the Hebrews (and all of humankind)…

The Messiah… what do the Holy Writings/Sacred Scriptures say…

“A prophet I shall raise up for them from the midst of their brothers, like you.”— Deuteronomy 18:18.

Samples of progressive details…

What did God promise Abraham about the Messiah?

God told faithful Abraham that the Messiah—the promised “seed”—would be one of his descendants. “By means of your seed all nations of the earth will certainly bless themselves due to the fact that you have listened to my voice.”— Genesis 22:18.

What did God tell Isaac?

God reiterated to Isaac the promise He had made to Abraham: “I will carry out the sworn statement that I swore to Abraham your father, ‘. . . by means of your seed all nations of the earth will certainly bless themselves.’”—Genesis 26: 3, 4.

What did Moses say about the Messiah?

When Israel was about to enter the Land of Promise, Moses told the nation: “A prophet from your own midst, from your brothers, like me, is what Jehovah your God will raise up for you—to him you people should listen.”— Deuteronomy 18:15.

What did God promise David about the Messiah?

“I shall certainly raise up your seed after you, which will come out of your inward parts; and I shall indeed firmly establish his kingdom. . . . Your very throne will become one firmly established to time indefinite.”—2 Samuel 7:12. 16.

“I myself shall place him as firstborn, the most high of the kings of the earth. To time indefinite I shall preserve my loving-kindness toward him, and my covenant will be faithful to him. And I shall certainly set up his seed forever and his throne as the days of heaven.”— Psalm 89:27-29[89:28-30, TNK].

How did the prophet Jeremiah confirm these promises?

“‘I shall make sprout for David a righteous sprout,’ . . . for this is what Jehovah has said, ‘There will not be cut off in David’s case a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel.’”— Jeremiah 33:15, 17. [excerpted reading: “How Can You Have A Happy Life?” Section 15: What Do The Scriptures Say About The Messiah?]

Hungry Birdies (2)

Good Afternoon/Evening Birdies:)… aka Respected Readers in need of an afternoon/early evening snack -lol:) Thank You for reading (1)…okay, um, how can I simplify this somewhat complicated topic… okay, thinking I should include a quick opening statement/preface about the Mosaic Law…(which is a great study)…(Following preface will connect the next excerpted reading… that ties into previous post…THANKS for Your patience!:)

What do You already know about the Mosaic Law? What do You already know about Federal Laws of the United States? Comparative numbers to size and scope and reach and depth… The entire code… Mosaic Law has 600 laws…that’s it. Federal laws of the U.S. fill over 150,000 pages of legal books and every couple years more than 600 laws are being added…MOUNTAINOUS MAN-MADE LAWS!… yet, do any of us feel any safer or more secure?? Or dignified or respected?? Or feel FREE-er?!;) The Bible talks about the Law of Love written on hearts… that would compassionately govern important areas of life. Here, in the States, with all the rules and regulations filling all these legal books:  are people full of honesty? and impartiality? Peace? security?! joy? Do we feel super-safer/protected?! Hmmm….

Quick term(s) to keep in mind:

Mosaic Law:

“The Law that Jehovah God gave Israel through Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in 1513 B.C.E. The first five books of the Bible are often referred to as the Law.—Joshua 23:6,  “Now you must be very courageous to observe and carry out all that is written in the book of the Law of Moses by never deviating from it to the right or to the left, ; Luke 24:44 “He then said to them: “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was yet with you, that all the things written about me in the Law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms must be fulfilled.” [excerpted New World Translation Glossary of Bible Terms]

“Why Did the Law Require Sacrifices?”….[excerpted: How Can You Have a Happy Life? Section 13]

“The soul of the flesh is in the blood, and I myself have put it upon the altar for you to make atonement for your souls.”—LEVITICUS 17:11.

GOD made provision for individuals and for the nation as a whole to atone for their sins by means of sacrifices, or offerings. According to the Law, anyone committing a sin had to rectify the wrong and then present to Jehovah an appropriate offering. Various sins required specific offerings, and these provided a measure of relief from guilt.—Leviticus 5:5-7.

Fear NOT Friend

“The naive person believes every word, But the shrewd one ponders each step.”

“The wise one is cautious and turns away from evil, But the stupid one is reckless (or furious) and overconfident.”

“The one who is quick to anger acts foolishly, But the man who thinks things out (or the man of thinking abilities) is hated.”

“The naive (or inexperienced) will inherit foolishness, But the shrewd are crowned with knowledge.”

“The one wayward at heart will reap the results of his ways, But the good man reaps the reward of his dealings.” (excerpts Proverbs 14)

(i choose to deal with Others as Friends…and wish PEACE & Wisdom to YOU/Everyone!:) When we deal with everyone in a forgiving manner, it promotes peace/peaceful relationships/unity. Yeah, at times and under difficult circumstances–that can be a heart-mind-boggling-exhaustive challenge, but i’m continuously working/trying my best..always on the following:

“Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. Just as Jehovah freely forgave you, you must do the same.”

“[…]Clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, humility, mildness, and patience.” (Col. 3:13)

THANKS for patiently reading this FRIEND:)..When we are at peace, and view Others as Friends..(not enemies) what is there to fear?? (anywhere)
