Arrogance is

self-reliance.

humility is interdependency.

This living planet is full of life. (Male and female life.)

All life (and processes thereof supporting life) on Earth is Interdependent.

No, life should not be male vs. female or female vs. male…a competition (which leads to discord, disunity, death!).  It’s male “and” female—a cooperative interdependence— that truly prevails and prolongs life on Earth.

Encouraging Well-Functioning Relationship Readings…:)

Just before creating a wife for the first man, God said: “It is not good for the man to continue by himself. I am going to make a helper for him, as a complement of him.” (Genesis 2:18) A complement is something that completes or makes perfect. Thus, God created the woman, not to be the same as the man or to compete with him, but to be his counterpart. Together, they could fulfill their divine commission to have children and fill the earth with their own kind.Genesis 1:28.

To enable the woman to fulfill her role, God gave her the ideal physical, mental, and emotional attributes. When she uses these wisely and lovingly, she contributes immeasurably to the success of her marriage and helps her husband feel content and emotionally secure. In God’s eyes, such a fine woman is worthy of praise.Proverbs 31:28, 31.

“Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands.”1 Peter 3:1

Divine Commission…sounds sweetly simple to me: make love/make life:)

{Non-divine ways of functioning…(make hate/make death).}

Husband’s role:

For a family to function well, someone has to make final decisions on matters. The Bible assigns that responsibility to the husband. But that does not entitle him to be an autocrat or a bully. Nor does it allow him to shirk his responsibilities, thus eroding his wife’s respect for him and imposing a needless burden upon her. Rather, God expects him to work hard to care for his wife and to assign her honor as his most intimate and trusted companion. (1 Timothy 5:8; 1 Peter 3:7) “Husbands ought to be loving their wives as their own bodies,” says Ephesians 5:28.

A husband who truly loves his wife values her abilities and talents and respectfully considers her views, especially on matters that may affect the family. He should not insist on his way simply because he is the family head. When the godly man Abraham rejected his wife’s sound advice on a family matter, Jehovah God said to him: “Listen to her voice.” (Genesis 21:9-12) Abraham humbly complied, and his family enjoyed peace and unity, as well as God’s blessing.

“A husband is head of his wife.”Ephesians 5:23.

Being single is one gift. Being married is another gift. All of us have differing gifts, how we choose to use these brings…strife or peace…on ourselves and on all of humanity/fellow-fragile-life. (Obviously, this post is regarding/discussing the gift of marriage.)

“Cone” of Uncertainty

Wish i was talking about an ice cream cone.

Staying calm in the cone of uncertainty…

“perhaps” quite crucial for survival!

Generally speaking…(and not just concerning hurricanes and any potential impacts)…some of us get all worked up when there isn’t enough accurate information to make an informed logical assessment.

Fear, negative emotions, and anxiety can dictate rash and dash decisions that can prove fatal and not wise nor life-saving.

Sometimes, you need to be patience and wait and see how things may turn out, but take all necessary precautions and preventive measures for safety.

Before a major event: Yeah, prep for the worse and positively hope and pray for the best…possible outcome.

Prepare and Don’t Panic!

  • In a fire. Stay close to the floor, and move quickly to the nearest exit. Smoke makes it hard to see, and most fire deaths are caused by smoke inhalation. Leave behind personal items. Seconds can make the difference between life and death.

In an earthquake. Get under sturdy furniture or next to an inside wall. Expect aftershocks, and get outside and away from buildings as soon as you can. Trained rescuers may not arrive for hours, so try to rescue others if you can.

In a tsunami. If the water suddenly rushes away from the shore, move quickly to higher ground. Expect more and larger waves.

In a tornado or a hurricane. Go to a storm shelter without delay.

In a flood. Stay out of flooded buildings. Avoid wading in or driving through water. Floodwater can contain sewage and conceal dangers, including debris, open manholes, and downed power lines.

Did you know? Two feet [0.6 m] of moving water can carry a car away. Most deaths in a flood result when people try to drive through moving water.

If the authorities order evacuation, leave immediately! Let friends know where you are, or they may risk their lives looking for you.

Did you know? Text messaging may be more reliable than telephone voice service.

If the authorities direct residents to remain at home or shelter in place, stay inside. In case of an outdoor chemical, biological, or nuclear accident or attack, stay indoors, turn off ventilation, and seal all doors and windows. In a nuclear event, go to the lowest internal part of your building to reduce exposure to radiation. Listen to local TV or radio news. Stay indoors until authorities announce that the threat has passed. [excerpted Disaster–Steps That Could Save Lives Awake! No. 5 2017]

In and Out of Control

The world is not like a runaway train, completely out of control and heading to a catastrophic end. God has established boundaries, or limits, on how much damage humans can inflict on themselves.

“And there is not a creation that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of the one to whom we must give an account.” (Hebrews 4:13) [excerpted reading reference below]

Check it out PLEASE…🙂 🙂 🙂…the “details”…

What the Bible says should not be quickly dismissed in view of the fact that so much of what it foretells has actually been fulfilled in amazing detail.

For instance, consider the following Bible prophecies:

“Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.”—Matthew 24:7.

“In the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God.”—2 Timothy 3:1-4.

Those prophecies describe a world that some might say is spiraling out of control. In a sense, our world is indeed out of control—out of the control of humans. According to the Bible, humans simply do not have the wisdom and power to bring about a permanent solution. This is highlighted in the following scriptures:

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.”—Proverbs 14:12.

“Man has dominated man to his harm.”—Ecclesiastes 8:9.

“It does not belong to man . . . even to direct his step.”—Jeremiah 10:23.

Left to its own devices, the world could very likely face a global catastrophe. But that is not going to happen! Why? This is what the Bible says:

God “has established the earth on its foundations; it will not be moved from its place forever and ever.”—Psalm 104:5.

“A generation is going, and a generation is coming, but the earth remains forever.”—Ecclesiastes 1:4.

“The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.”—Psalm 37:29.

“There will be an abundance of grain on the earth; on the top of the mountains it will overflow.”—Psalm 72:16.

These Bible teachings provide clear answers. Mankind will not die off from pollution, lack of food and water, or a global pandemic. The world will not be destroyed in a nuclear holocaust. Why not? God is in control of our planet’s future. Granted, God has allowed humans to exercise free will. However, they will reap the consequences for their decisions.

Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a person is sowing, this he will also reap;” (Galatians 6:7)

But God will do more. He will bring about an “abundance of peace.” (Psalm 37:11  “But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.”) [excerpted recent readings: AWAKE! No. 6 2017]

My studies give me a b-r-i-g-h-t outlook…plus, i realize that learning to exercise my free will in a compassionate manner…is good for me, my Loved Ones, my Fellow-Fragile-Life, and the Planet.

A lot of humanity’s dire straights are self-inflicted! We all, individually & collectively, need “different” on-going education…on the lines of…dropping arrogance..and

Sowing humble seeds of compassion…heart flowers bloom…eventually, eh?:)…and IF more of us-fellow-fragile-life choose peace…things gradually improve…(also, Divine Guidance/Government & Intervention needed).

THANK YOU Reader for NOT USING Your Free Will in a manner that inflicts harm!:) We, humans, have the potential for great healing/recuperation/recovery…in my pov it starts with spirituality…then flows/follows to mental, emotional, and physical health.

i am in control of my decisions…i can continue to choose compassion.

i can choose peace/Agape Love (and not violence/hate).

i can choose healthy-happy-happenings!-lol:)

(and i can choose to make the best out of whatever comes my way…hurricane or other.)
