Lulled to sleep by the constant lullaby??
(Mind) Swimming isn’t easy against currents (popular thoughts, etc.)

There is only 1 way to go (1 direction I can)
Which is UP
Stream…………………………………………………………………………..

To stay awake
Cause the so-called walking (so-called living?) (apathetic) stiffs are asleep spiritually…(which to me is a dangerous state of being)

it’s like trying to stay physically healthy in a sick flu room with almost everybody sneezing and coughing or worse on you…where nobody wants to use a tissue or cough in their sleeve..but they cannot help the sneezing or the coughing (they are too sick to realize) and they own no tissues nor sleeves to use..(so one puts up with and forgives and tries super hard to stay healthy) and of course, be compassionate, huh?

Provocative points…like a splash of cold water to the face or a bucket of ice to the head…awaken this (my) mind:

The spirit of the world is inducing spiritual sleep. Many are so wrapped up in their mundane affairs of life that they are not “conscious of their spiritual need.” (Matt. 5:3) They are engrossed in the material attractions of the world that foster “the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes.” (1 John 2:16) Also, the entertainment industry has intoxicated people with the ‘love of pleasures,’ and the temptations are intensifying year by year. (2 Tim. 3:4) This is why Paul told Christians that they should “not be planning ahead for the desires of the flesh,” which induce spiritual sleep.—Rom. 13:11-14. (Excerpted w July 2016)

PLans? Ha..how does one do that??..when so much of this life is outta my control/focus, etc…my daily “intention” pursue peace with All Breathing Fragile Life…practice compassion and forgiveness…and try to stay afloat and keep swimming against…the pulls.

(To me compassionandspirituality walk handandhand.)
